SF Green Areas is a collection of information about the various city parks within San Francisco. It most definitely is not official and also far from comprehensive, but I hope that it can give you some information before you travel to your next park.
This site started because I had a personal goal to visit every park in SF, or as I called it “every green area on maps”. I simply marked every spot that showed up as green on Google Maps, and then I went there. It was as simple as that. Slowly but surely, I would change the pins from red to green to show that I had visited the park and taken a picture to add to my single album. My friends knew about this project, and urged me to do something more with this information I had amassed by going to close to 100 parks. Thus, this site was born.
